MY UFO SIGHTING
(1993, Alameda, California)

I was awakened by a very bright light at about 1:30 a.m. I put my hand up to block the brightness. I thought the Alameda Police were pointing a spotlight in my upstairs bedroom window. I ran to my son’s bedroom to get a better view because his room had a huge bay window. My son was up already and also looking at the light. We both saw a huge bright glowing pyramid shaped figure just above some tall trees across the street at the Ballena Bay Apartments. We just stared at it. Then it shot across the sky so extremely fast to the other side of the island town. I ran to the phone to call my best friend since first grade, Michelle, who lives across town. She answered and I frantically said “Run outside and look up! It’s a space ship or something, a bright light, just go outside now and look up!! It’s coming your way!!“ She says “Put the joint down and go back to sleep”. But she did go outside after my continued yelling. She saw nothing, of course, cuz she took so dang long, but anyway I turned on the television news to see if there was any special report. Nothing. The next day I scoured the newspapers looking for some news of it. Nothing. My friend Michelle always tells me it must have been a blimp. At 1:30 a.m.? That huge? No advertisements, just a bright glow?? And traveling that fast across the sky??? My son and I saw a UFO. An Unidentified Flying Object.
